COMPANY
Aviation
Computer Media, Inc., was founded in 1990 by Mr.
Wolfgang Lange, President & CEO, and the late
Mr. Trent Thomas, Vice President. Mr. Lange
holds a Business Degree, an Airline Transport Pilot
Certificate, SE & Multi-Engine; Flight
Instructor Certificate with Single &
Multi-Engine, Instrument, FAA Pilot Examiner, and
an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics Certificate.
Mr. Thomas held a Master's Degree in Software
Engineering and was also the Manager for IOMEGA's
Research and Software Development.
Mr.
Lange, along with FAA Maintenance Inspectors, and
the best Computer Software Specialists, came up
with the Worlds "BEST and most POWERFUL" Aviation
Data Base. (The State of Utah is the "hot bed " for
computer software development around the world.)
Word Perfect, Novell Corporation, and FOLIO
Corporation, all started in Utah. Brigham Young
University developed the first Data Base Drive
Engine in 1985.
Aviation
Computer Media, Inc. (ACM Corporation) pioneered
the "Electronic Airworthiness Research Concept" (PC
Computer Data Base) in 1990 and was the FIRST
Company that started to distribute the "FAA
REGULATORY MAINTENANCE LIBRARY" in electronic
format. ACM set the standard for the Aviation
Industry has and made the most Technological
Advances in the "FAA Maintenance Library Research
Concept".
In
April 2008 the business activity of Aviation
Computer Media, Inc. was acquired by Aviation
DataSource, Inc. After a transition during May
2008,
all of ACM's subscribers will be served by The
Aviation
DataBase®--
the Internet based Aviation Regulatory Library by
Aviation DataSource, Inc.
